Who's Actually Done the Work

Hi, I'm Blas. My background is 20+ years of hands-on identity, security, and customer-facing engineering work at companies including Okta and Cisco.

But I didn't start with IAM. I know what it feels like to be on the outside looking in — trying to find good resources, getting lost in documentation, and not knowing where to begin. That frustration is exactly why I created Zero to Sec.

IAM education is scattered, and people breaking in are often told to collect certifications without understanding how identity actually works inside real companies. Zero to Sec is where I organize that experience into a clearer path for people entering the field.
